it's just another day

Making a concerted effort to update more:)
Had tea at my Grandma and Grandad's with my Uncle from Canada yesterday which was nice, although made me sad about leaving hx next year again. When we got home I watched the next installment of 'anatomy for beginners' which was interesting - the way the body works is amazing! Then I fell into bed.

Today started off ok (well...after I dragged myself out of bed...) but this afternoon I had a confusion with a prescription for cocaine...although I did nothing really bad or illegal, I think I still confused many people/wasted their time. oops.

losing at squah

lost another game in my (stil the bottom) squash mini league! But it was good fun - the chap I was playing didn't flatten me - and at least hit the ball back to me sometimes so that I got a chance to run around abit! It's a good job that when Rosie and I play we are more easily matched or I think I'd have given up by now! I feel like I've done quite good exercise though!

shamed into posting

Have been glancing at other peoples blogs today and have thus been reminded how pathetic my posting is! So thought I'd post. Been feeling quite stressed recently (although not reaching the levels of before Christmas yet!)- mostly about jobs for next year. It's not that I don't think there will be jobs for Pharmacists, just not where I want to live. Anyway, I think I've discussed this topic to death with about everyone I know (and probably repeated my self on numerous occaisions !) so I'll stop there. On a good front, I told my line-manager person that I'm planning to leave in the summer, which I have been fretting about for a while now.

Exciting things that have happened to me recently:

  • went to Nottingham to John's work's Christmas-new year party which was very good. It was 60s/black and white themed, and had some good music. The only down part was when john told me I shouldn't show my teeth when I smile because they are a funny colour, which my dad has also been harping on about for a while. I do not think my teeth are vastly discoloured, and I never have to see them so it doesn't really bother me at all. There was a good band there who were a beatles tribute band - although I came to the conclusion that you couldn't really be that bad if you were singing beatles tunes :)

  • went on walk in Notts...where John fell over and cut a chunk out of his knee. which added excitement even if it was of a nasty type. Appears to be getting better now though.

Also have seen Ed, Laura, Matt, and Rachel which was fun, played squash, been to brownies, and an written application form!

goodness me I'm bored. in a very strange sort of way - there are things that i could do if i wanted but I don't really... random! I think I'm not quite sure what I'm meant to be doing tonight, and my Mum isn't home as she usually is on a friday so i have no one to talk to!

Happy New Year!

happy new year!

Hope 2005 is good to you.

Funny how we like nice numbers isn't it. Cos really what does it matter if its the first day of a new year - its just a number. Don't get me wrong tho, I'm all in favour of a good excuse to party!

I've generally stopped making resolutions, because they just get broken. But heres what I'm looking forward to about 2005:
Getting married
Qualifying as a pharmacist
and not so looking forard to:
Moving house
Moving job

anyway, I'll just have to wait!
